The show opens with Lori and Josh trying to get into the bathroom to take a shower. The door is locked because Kyle is in threre, sleeping in the tub. Stephen uses a credit card to open the lock. Kyle is just sleeping and Stephen can't wake him so he turns on the shower.

After everyone gets downstairs the family each get ready to go thier own way. Kyle is going to work with Stephen. Nicole offers to drop Lori off by work but Lori says she's getting a ride with Hillary. After the family leaves Nicole gets a phone call from Detective Breen. He tells her he thinks Kyle is connected to a murder. As they make plans to meet we see a skeleton laying on the examining table.

At Stephens work Kyle discovers elevators for the first time. Stephen gets a phone call and says to tell his boss he got stuck in traffic. Kyle wonders because they didn't get stuck in traffic and Stephen says "Just a little white lie." As they leave the elevator Kyle says that he wants to help and Stephen promises to find him something to do after his meeting. Allison, the temporary receptionest, explanes that the servers are down. Stephen has to explain to Kyle what a temp is, someone who is just there for a little while, not permanent. Stephen asks Allison to watch Kyle why he goes in and talks to Brad, the CEO. Allison tells Kyle to wait for his dad over there. Kyle explains that Stephen is not his dad, that he's a temp too.

Detective Breen sits down with Nicole to discuss the skeleton found where Kyle first woke up. They look through pictures and Nicole says that she thinks the body was put there a long time before Kyle was found. Detective Breen explains that someone put chemicals on the body to make it decompose faster. Detective Breen says he doesn't think Kyle is involved but they can't discount the possiblity. There is some flesh under the nails of the victom indicating a struggle. Nicole says there's no way Kyle could have been involved but he may have wittenessed the murder, which could have been tramatic enough to cause his amnesia. Detective Breen want's to show Kyle the photograpsh but Nicole is afraid it will further tramitize Kyle.
